The John D. O’Bryant African American Institute is dedicated to supporting the holistic well-being and academic success of our students. We offer a range of services to address personal, academic, and emotional challenges.

Our Services Include:

  • Personal Counseling: Sessions to discuss personal concerns, including stress and anxiety.
  • Academic Counseling: Guidance on study skills, financial aid, time management, and strategies to enhance academic performance.
  • Professional Development: Guidance on resumes, cover letters and interview preparation.
  • Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for students experiencing acute emotional distress.
  • Resource Referrals: Connections to additional campus resources, including University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) for specialized support.

For 24/7 mental health support, students can access Find@Northeastern by calling 1.877.233.9477 (U.S.), 855.229.8797 (Canada), or +1.781.457.7777 (International). This service connects students with mental health clinicians who provide immediate assistance and recommendations for ongoing care.
